My third wedding for the same family! Kim and Oliver at Notley Abbey, Buckinghamshire
This summer I photographed the third wedding for the same family! Three years ago I photographed Victoria's wedding at Micklefield Hall, last year I photographed her cousin's wedding at Le Manoir Aux Quat'Saisons, and this year I captured her brother, Oliver, marrying Kim at Notley Abbey in Buckinghamshire. It was lovely to be amongst familiar faces and see how they all are. Victoria now has a little boy, Henry, who is just so gorgeous (see pictures of him below and I know you will agree). Her cousins, Neil and Tatiana have three lovely little girls, who I have had the pleasure of photographing over the years and watching them grow up. I really do feel part of the family, or as Oliver's mother said, I am their very own family photographer! Notley Abbey is part of Bijou Weddings, one of their five unique wedding venues. The approach to the 12th century medieval house is by the long driveway, flanked by a fairytale avenue of trees. Apparently this house was once the country home of Laurence Olivier and Vivien Leigh! As with all Bijou venues, the building is hired exclusively for the wedding.
Kim and Oliver had a lovely day for their wedding, as once again we were lucky that the rain stopped for the day, which was quite something considering the terrible 'rainy season' we were experiencing at the time! This was not guaranteed so Kim had come prepared with a pair of Union Jack wellington boots.
